At Torchpass I was responsible for providing support for the firm's goal of purchasing a company within the middle market healthcare or education space. My weekly responsibilities included validating the company leads that Torchpass receives, as well as ensuring that Torchpass' CRM was up to date with relevant information about potential targets. In addition, I also worked on evaluating potential investment opportunities. This includes industry research in order to identify specific actionable spaces that Torchpass may be able to invest in, as well as evaluating confidential information memorandums to determine whether the advertised companies were a good fit for Torchpass.

At NextGen Growth Partners I was responsible for providing support side services in order to assist NextGen in acquiring middle market companies. I primarily focused on evaluating opportunities within the technology industry, managing a process that began with identifying and researching potential industries and ended with developing comprehensive lists of companies within industry niches.

United States Department Of Defense, Dfas, Cleveland, Ohio

During my time with the DoD I worked in Site Support Office of the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) at Cleveland's federal headquarters. My primary responsibility over the summer was to overhaul the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) within the Site Support Office. SOPs are documents detailing specific job operations within the Department of Defense, and are important resources for both experienced workers and new hires. Many of the Site Support Office's SOPs had not been updated for a significant amount of time and were consequently obsolete, so my responsibility was to speak with employees throughout the Site Support Office and update the documents accordingly. In addition, I was exposed to various other accounting and finance functions over the summer, including relevant financial training, budgeting procedures, and creating department overviews for different functions within DFAS.
