From the bedroom of his Northeast Pennsylvania home, Alec Ryncavage began his career as a freelance web developer building websites for Minecraft communities during its height within the gaming world. After the decline of these networks, Alec shifted his focus to network security. As a college opt-out following high school, he founded his cybersecurity startup, Offprem, driven to automate and replace network security engineers and equipment for small to medium organizations. First elected to public office at the age of 18, Alec spends his time outside of his startup as a Councilman for his hometown of Plymouth Pennsylvania where he led the revitalization of their historic downtown Main Street. Later elected to Pennsylvania's General Assembly in November of 2022, Alec now serves as the State Representative for Luzerne County's 119th District continuing the work he began as a Borough official. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Alec was named to the Luzerne County COVID-19 Crisis Management Team, Local Government Sub-Committee (totaling 8 members), by County Manager David Pedri to handle the strategic distribution of knowledge and resources across 76 County municipalities affecting virtually 300K Northeast Pennsylvanian lives.You can learn more about Alec and follow his journey on his website (https://alecryncavage.com).
