My current role is to be a jack-of-all trades. One hat that I wear is, developer of the velocity reports to generate automated documentation for all US customers.Another hat I wear is development of scripts to run when the program is live to perform data transformation, data import from Sparx's Enterprise Architect, and to perform other repetitive modeling tasks in seconds instead of minutes. For this I use the languages Python and Ruby depending on the dependency on nested classes.A third hat that I wear is to develop plugins to add features that scripts cannot provide. These include functions that need classes built and substantial debug performed. An example is an EA importer (under development) to import the EA data into MagicDraw (a functionality missing in the current tool). In addition, another plugin developed partitions Tree-like diagrams into smaller ones visible upon export to documentation.A fourth hat I wear is development of training videos. No Magic has increased its focus on training customers in the use of our tools. As such I am currently developing videos to support this venture. The fifth hat I wear is in R&D. I research new technologies that could be built into our existing solutions. I evaluate each of the technologies researched for scalability, difficulty of initial setup, and ease of use after initial setup. Finally, after determining the best solution we develop a prototype with the new technology that can have continued development built on it by a development team. The final hat I wear is a bit of business analysis for a fellow developer. I gather Functional requirements from the customer, derive them down into measurable requirements that she can test success/fail criteria against, and then refine those down into how the requirements are to be tested and how they are to be used by the customer. This role also involves testing the software prior to development to the customer.

I continued my work with No Magic through becoming a sales associate. In this role, I listened to potential customers, gathered their needs/interests, set up virtual POCs to show them the method our tool used to satisfy those needs/interests, and then focused on growing other tool interest after the initial sale.
