As a Care.com platform user; I provide assistance to schools and families that need it most. It is my responsibility to give classroom closing services to preschools that are understaffed. I also have completed several contracts helping families during times of hardship, families dealing with children that have special needs or behavioral issues with household assistance and learning opportunities. I have done year round age appropriate lesson planning (Preschool- 1st Grade), after school and summer programming (7-17 years old). While working aboard the Carnival Spirit and Dream, I was responsible for running activities, monitoring children, and providing care as it was necessary for children to ensure that they enjoyed their vacation time just as much as parents did. This included but was not limited to always providing a welcoming environment with the help of fellow team members, assisting parents with the registration process, handling paperwork, handling financial transactions and reports, and maintaining their safety at all times. I was also responsible for assisting children with toileting, serving meals, and completing 140+ hours of Carnival preferred course work and field work for teenage program directing. While working a promotional position as a teen program director; my responsibilities included running activities for teens in the club, formatting and updating food orders, maintaining upkeep of club, and turning in reports and recaps on cruise by cruise basis. I was also responsible for handling paperwork, training fellow new team members, ordering supplies, organizing hand-overs, and creating activity schedule/reports based on voyage itineraries.

As a substitute for Peachtree Placement, I have worked all over Atlanta in multiple schools with children between the ages of 6 weeks to 11 years old. I have filled necessary positions such as a lead teacher, teacher’s aide, floater, nursery worker, and after school teacher. With multiple placements at several different schools, I have been exposed to a diverse spectrum of curriculums, learning styles, and even cultures. I have fulfilled the duties of providing excellent and engaging child care, and committing my work ethic to the mission of Peachtree Placement Services.

As a residential unit counselor, I was responsible for overseeing and conducting activities for girls ages (6-17 years old) for 1-3 week programs at a time. At Rock Hill sleep away camp (GSHH), my objective was to supervise the girls, demonstrate the Girl Scout way, and provide an amazing camp experience for my assigned unit. It was a goal of mine to leave them with memories of a great outdoor experience while providing them with a safe and fun environment where we all cohabited. I was responsible for working together with my fellow unit counselors, leaders, and core team to implement the programs offered to the girls during their Girl Scout residential camp experience during each program. As a unit counselor I was responsible to monitor children 22 hours of the day, 6 days a week for a 6-8 week period. I am a mandated reporter, a Girl Scout model, leader, and friend to the girls I am held responsible for.

As a substitute, my duties were to observe children as they engage in self motivated “work”. Nonetheless, it was part of my duties as a substitute to make observations of the children, encourage “self help”, and assist the lead teacher on site with responsibilities such as toileting, preparing food for children, and motivating independence to complete routine tasks.
