VMWARE ESXI:- Installation, Configuration, Administration and Trouble shooting of ESXI6.x,Vspere 6.0, Virtual Center.- Creating Clusters for High Availability (HA) and Distributive Resource Scheduling (DRS).- Performing Snapshots, Cloning, and maintaining Templates.- Monitoring of Resources in VCenter (CPU, Memory, Disk and Network Utilization) for Security.- Migration of Virtual Machines using V-Motion. Moving VM’s from one LUN to another LUN using Storage VMotion.- Configuring Virtual standard switch and Virtual Distributed switch via Vcenterserver.- Configuring required port groups for external communication.- Good Knowledge on different storage technologies like DAS, NAS and SAN.- Configure and operate life cycle manager to update/upgrade VC and ESX servers.- Troubleshooting issues relating to VMotion such as compatibility issues.EMC STORAGE:- Provide storage administration for EMC Clariion, VNX and VMAX.- Storage allocation in Clariion, VNX and VMAX using Unisphere.- Brocade Zoning in GUI using Fabric Manager and CLI mode.- Associating FAST policy to storage groups in VNX and VMAX.- Involved in registering hosts, creating RAID groups, binding LUNs and addingthem to Storage groupsusing Navisphere manger/NaviCLI for various UNIX & Windows hosts.- Troubleshooting if LUNS are not visible to server when allocated space to server.- Good Knowledge on Time Finder(local) SRDF (Symmetrix Remote Data Facility) and open replicator- Creating thin devices and meta creation.- Coordinating with server team for trouble shooting of LUN path failures.- Reclamation of SAN space from servers in VMAX and Clarion.- Registering Hosts on VNX.- Meta LUN creations both stripped and concatenated.- Allocating shared storage to the cluster servers and ESX hosts.- Creation of storage groups and assigning the hosts and LUNS to the storage groups.
