JDC West is Canada’s most prestigious case competition, entering its 20th year in enriching the skills and competitive spirit of Canada’s top underage talent. The theme for 2024 is “Harnessing Authenticity for Success.”

•Successfully assembled and managed a 50-member team of students from UNBC’s business program, while working in a fast-paced environment demonstrating resilience and maintaining a high standard of work.•Managed a budget of $70,000 streamlining costs for $13,000 in cost savings.•Successfully secured two new corporate sponsorships, resulting in a $6,250 increase in program funding.•Developed and implemented targeted strategies to identify and approach potential sponsors, showcasing the value and alignment of our program with their business objectives.

As a Business Support Student for the YXS Airport I handled file digitization and data entry. I was also responsible for the classification and management of Transport Canada documents as well as being responsible for information audits. In addition to those responsibilities I also performed inventory management and survey analysis

As an Ecommerce Specialist I monitored day-to-day activity through the store’s online shopping feature as well as carried through customer’s online orders and collected online payments. I assisted customers with questions or concerns regarding the store’s services.

Some of the responsibilities that came with this role included: accurate managing of transactions using the cash registers, attending customer's needs, collecting payment, supervision of the customer service desk and the self-checkout registers, handle merchandise returns and exchanges and providing excellent customer service.

As a Style Advisor with Aritzia I was responsible for assisting customers throughout the buying process while providing excellent customer service. I was also responsible for informing customers of current promotions going on in the store. In addition I provided product knowledge and answered any questions customer's had about the products and services Aritzia provides.

I took part of the 2018-2019 semester of the Junior Achievement program in Airdrie, Alberta. Here we started a small company called CompoZen for which I was elected President of. CompoZen was a company focused on selling compostable cups with a target of "making a greener space wherever you go". Here I was responsible for helping my team grow our company into its full potential as well as attending various business related events and representing my company to the best of my abilities. I was in charge of ensuring every member was performing their assigned tasks and organizing how meetings were going to look like as well as organizing most of the logistics that came with starting a new company.

As a Sales Associate with Calvin Klein I was responsible for providing excellent customer service as soon as customer's would walk into the store, I would recommend appropriate purchases and answer any questions customer's might have. In addition I needed to have great communication skills with my coworkers to ensure we all knew what was happening in the store at all times.
