Senior Quality Engineer
Current• Conduct Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) inspections on parts produced by CNC machines widely used in the aerospace, automobile, and power generation sectors.• Generate comprehensive reports, such as Certificates of Conformance (COC), Dimensional Inspection Reports (DIR), and Product Build Inspection Reports (PBIR), to be submitted to customers for the inspected parts.• Perform calibration of measuring tools and gauges utilized in production and inspection, including vernier calipers, micrometers, and dial gauges. • Develop inspection programs for CMM using PC-DMIS, OpenDMIS, and BladeRunner for complex components like aerofoil blades, impellers, compressor disks, rotors, etc. • Assist machinists by providing detailed information on previously inspected parts, enabling them to account for tool wear and maintain production continuity.• Interpret key dimensions for measurement based on customer part drawings, ensuring adherence to precise GD&T specifications.• Employ quality tools such as Six Sigma, Kaizen, 8D, and Total Quality Management (TQM) to analyse non-conformance (NC) issues and material review board (MRB) cases, aiming to reduce NC occurrences and scrap rates.• Actively participate in internal audits, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and customer requirements, and facilitating successful certification and recertification processes.
