I am the director of the Oral Health Forum (OHF) at Heartland Alliance Health, where I lead a team of oral health professionals and community partners to design and implement innovative solutions and evidence-based interventions that address oral health issues in the context of social determinants and population health. I leverage my skills in not-for-profits to optimize the integration of oral health as an important component of overall health and well-being. Additionally, I am a clinical instructor at the University of Illinois Chicago College of Dentistry, where I share my knowledge and passion for oral health with the next generation of dental practitioners. My mission is to work to improve oral health outcomes and access to dental services for traditionally under-resourced populations, especially those affected by poverty.I am also a public policy consultant at the Hispanic Dental Association (HDA), where I apply my expertise in dental public health and community health science to develop and advocate for policies and programs that improve oral health equity and access for Latinos. I have over 20 years of experience in the field of dental public health, and I am a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Public Health (ABDPH).
