I am a current graduate student at NIU in the Higher Education and Student Affairs (HESA) program and have 5 years of full-time work experience in admissions, career services, and pre-college programs. Over my career, I have worked with diverse teams, led multicultural initiatives, implemented various marketing strategies, and evaluated program outcomes. My professional career has been driven by the positive influence that mentors had in empowering me as I navigated a PWI as a woman of color and first-generation college student. Similarly, my goal is to contribute to the development and empowerment of all students that I am privileged enough to work with. Today, my primary interests are in cultural centers, student life, student support services, and consulting. When I am not studying or working, I am catching up on missed episodes of reality TV, painting, or enjoying a cup of coffee with friends. I welcome the opportunity to connect virtually or in-person!
