As a Human Factors and cognitive Psychology PhD candidate, I have a passion for understanding and improving the relationship between humans and technology. I have extensive research experience in designing and conducting experiments on various topics related to aging, transportation safety, distracted driving, in-vehicle navigational systems, unmanned vehicle operation, operator workload and fatigue, trust in automated systems, and cellular device addiction.In collaboration with my faculty advisor Dr. Mustapha Mouloua and the UCF Human Factors and TRG Laboratory, I have published and presented multiple papers on the effects of individual differences and distractions on driver behavior and performance. I have also applied my human factors knowledge and skills to a real-world project with Embraer, where I was responsible for performing human factors analyses on the human-system relationships and presenting the findings to the stakeholders. My goal is to contribute to the advancement of human factors and UX research, and to reduce the economic and physical harm caused by accidents and errors in human-technology systems.
