Alejandro Mario Bertolotti, MD was Director of Cardiovascular Surgery, Chairman of the Transplant Department, Director of Heart Failure, MCS and Heart Transplant Division and Director of Lung Transplant Division at Hospital Universitario Fundación Favaloro, Buenos Aires, Argentina, between 2001 and 2023. He received his medical degree from Universidad Nacional de Rosario, Santa Fé Province, Argentina; and completed his Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery Training at ICyCC, Fundación Favaloro, Argentina. He was Member of the Advisory Committee of the Argentinean Central Unique National Institute Coordinator of Ablation and Implant, Incucai, where he has participated in the development of many related policies, such as the Heart and Lung Allocation Policies.Dr Bertolotti has been engaged in clinical and preclinical research projects and device developments. He maintains an active participation in the academic and scientific areas He has published papers in international peer reviewed journals and has been author and co-author of more than a hundred papers presented at national and international conferences
