• “Enhancing photogrammetry and vegetation remote sensing through a vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) unmanned aircraft system (UAS)” project affiliation with department of geological sciences GEOSENSE (Geospatial Sensing and Sampling of the Environment) at University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP)o Assembly and preflight testing for VTOL system to ensure proper functionality o Implemented two detachable 3D printed payload cover using FUSION 360 for VTOL system for effective utilization and protection of Micasense RedEdge-MX sensor (multi-spectral sensor) and Sony Alpha a6000 Camera (Complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) sensor) to operate remotely for retrieval of multi-spectral photogrammetry o Assisted with field campaigns in Jornada Experimental Range to collect data for surface soil moisture and develop a fence system setup to protect research stations from wild life animals roaming the areao Presenting project poster at symposium hosted at the City College of New York City (pending)• Evaluated TufftWing Outlaw Spec FPV Race Wing by assembling electrical components (camera, servo motors, stepper motors) and creating a trial flight to ensure UAS met proper flying requirements• Developed solutions using Aeronautical Reconnaissance Coverage Geographic Information System (ARCGIS PRO) for fractal dimensioning to be provided as personal measurements for advance classes at UTEP• Troubleshot and inspected other UAS systems that were damaged during operational flights to be able to perform repairs for functional future flight missions
