The UNICEF-AstraZeneca (AZ) partnership aims to catalyze a youth-led movement for policy change and global advocacy targeted to prevent non-communicable diseases (NCDs). Over the next five years, AZ and UNICEF aim to achieve the following goals: 5 million young people reached with NCD prevention messages; 1,000 young advocates trained to promote NCD prevention; and a minimum of 12 public policies regarding NCD adopted, updated and upheld.Central to this partnership, 10 young leaders comprise a team responsible for the following main activities:- Cocreate the Young Leaders Strategy- Review annual and bi-annual reports- Mentoring of youth leadersContribution to the following program activities:- Development of advocacy briefs- Co-creation of learning content- Engagement with youth (consultation, live session, webinars, surveys, U-Report)- Evidence generation- Advocacy and dialogue with policy makers at global/regional meetings
