I am currently trying to obtain a B.A. in Business Economics and a Minor in Marketing at California State University Los Angeles. After receiving a B.A., I want to pursue getting my Master’s degree at the University of Chicago. Business Economics was something that I never thought of pursuing when I was young. Learning new things about marketing, finance, accounting, and management is eye-opening and shows me how the market and government works. Developing skills at an internship is something I look forward to. Working as a Customers Sales Associate at Walgreens has taught me how to approach individuals and how to be more confident, so being able to break the ice when getting to meet a person for the first time is one of my strengths. Having to converse with individuals when I am at work has taught me how to be patient, and learning how to stay calm and collective when being approached in an uncivil way has been an x-factor for me when it comes to being out there in the real world. I go above and beyond to help any of my peers when they have issues regarding something. Maintaining a healthy relationship with my peers is crucial for proper communication and having a better understanding of each other. Due to past experience, I am comfortable working with various software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.After I get my Master’s, I want to help families or individuals who do not have the luxury like others who receive specific resources. Joining and growing a nonprofit organization will fill me with joy because I believe in giving back to the community. Having to come up with ideas on how to fundraise at certain events is a project that will not drain any energy from me but give me more confidence in my thoughts and develop better communication skills with my peers. Staying on top of social media is not a challenging task for me to tackle. Although there are other ways to reach out to people about our organization, I believe that social media is the primary way to advertise the organization with how society is today.
