For the past four years, Alejandro Juarez has acted as a Quality Control (QC) engineer with Montez Group, Inc. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from San Jose State University. Alejandro has worked on various Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) projects assisting general contractors with their quality control system and project closeout procedures. He has also worked with several general contractors throughout the San Francisco Bay Area providing inspection services, generating inspection, and testing plans, and tracking quality control efforts. He has acquired various certifications including Confined Space Training, OSHA30, US Army Corps of Engineers: Construction Quality Management (CQM-C) certification, ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician and Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate.Alejandro values service, connection, creativity, knowledge, and efficiency. As such, he has endeavored his career in civil engineering as he gets to be creative, contribute to the community by ensuring the safety of the projects he partakes in, and he has sought further certifications. He thrives in his QC role and enjoys selecting projects that allow him to be creative, utilize his knowledge, and learn from the project and other team members. He incorporates efficiency and flexibility in his various projects which largely benefits the projects he works on. He appreciates bonds with others and strives to connect with necessary contractors and inspectors with encouragement and compassion. He often boosts morale within Montez Group and with those he meets in his projects with his humor and willingness to take initiative when he sees that something needs to get done. Outside of work, Alejandro enjoys spending time with his family. He is in his happy place when hiking with his fiancé and his corgi, Mia, who is usually in a backpack being shown the world from a new height. He often goes on spontaneous adventures within his hometown or throughout the state. These days, he has a fun time looking for new sushi and poke spots. He has become an Ahi tuna enthusiast! He enjoys building furniture and folks in his family often go to Alejandro to support with a move or with constructing a new table. When Alejandro is bored—well that doesn’t last long at all. He finds a way to become un-bored—whether that is inviting his loved ones out to dinner, painting, drawing, reading, playing with Mia and capturing her silly moments, or coming up with a home project.
