• Responsible for leading a group of Category professionals accountable for the commercial relationship with the company's process equipment manufacturers• Accountable for helping develop, define and implement sourcing strategies in the process equipment space in support of organizational goals • Work with cross-functional teams to drive value to the organization through the development and execution of capital and expense project work• Partner with the businesses and our operations capabilities to develop negotiation strategies with our suppliers that will drive long lasting virtuos cycles of mutual benefit

• Lead a team of (5) individuals, (4) Project Sourcing & Procurement Managers, and (1) Project Analyst in the support of Capital Projects across the Packaging, Cellulose, and Corrugated businesses of GP• Work with cross-functional project teams to develop procurement strategies, and project procurement plans that incorporate sourcing strategies, value creation ideas, supply-market trends, internal demand data, and global sourcing considerations• Provide guidance to project team around the legal, technical, and commercial aspects of contracts• Work with Category Managers in the development of, and management of suppliers, contractors, and internal customer relationships• Utilize the Total Cost of Ownership model (TCO) to identify alternatives, assess associated risks, conduct scenario analysis, and provide sourcing recommendations that look to deliver the project bet• Guide cross-functional project teams through the various project delivery methods (i.e. Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, EPC, IPD) to ensure the organization is utilizing resources in a way that maximizes value, while reducing risks

• Perform the design, and coordinate the planning, installation, and implementation of machinery and automation equipment that looks to address the customer’s needs, in an industrial environment using knowledge of engineering and programming, as well as sophisticated instruments and computers• Provide system designs, equipment specifications, and fabrication/installation/implementation estimates to the sales department for bid/proposal generation• Direct engineers and designers thru design, manufacturing and implementation of project • Maintain expert level of product, process knowledge and application• Participate in information gathering meetings with clients to help determine the clients' needs, business goals, desired outcomes, and evaluate the potential sales opportunities• Respond to functional and technical elements of RFQs/RFIs/RFPs

• Manage the estimating, engineering, procurement, construction, and the commissioning processes associated with the successful development, and implementation of both capital and expense projects throughout GP’s Building Products various divisions and their facilities• Work with engineering and non-engineering, internal and external resources to perform the following: o Generate an array of possible solutions to the problem(s) a Mill may be experiencing o Create scopes of work, estimates to complete these scopes of work, and execution strategies/schedules o Help generate the documentation required for the review and funding-approval process of projects o Assist procurement/sourcing department with an engineering point of view during contract negotiations o Provide and coordinate construction management services o Assist the Mill(s) with equipment commissioning efforts o Use existing, and implement new, systems/tools to help manage project cost(s) • Provide engineering consulting in compressed air systems, dust collection units, cooling tower systems, gas burning boilers, steam delivery systems, condensate return systems, water/waste water treatment and delivery systems

• Design, budget, and install expense and capital projects that look to improve the safety, quality, and efficiency of the plant’s manufacturing/production processes• Perform pressure drop calculations across piping and ductwork systems; Choose appropriate duct/pipe sizes based on application; Design the ductwork for various air cleaning systems; Size pumps based on application; Review electrical drawings; Choose appropriate wire based on electrical load, voltage drop, length of run, and FLA• Generate CAD drawings of existing and new equipment in order to submit for fabrication and/or ensure proper fitment within its application• Provide engineering consulting in compressed air systems, dust collection units, cooling tower systems, gas burning boilers, steam delivery systems, condensate return systems, water/waste water treatment and delivery systems• Contact and develop relationships with various vendors in order to create a team for project work execution and equipment installation

• Responsible for the study of current equipment operation from an efficiency, quality, safety, and production cost standpoint• Responsible for the design, installation and implementation of new equipment and existing equipment modifications• Assist the Technical Development Department with trial and new product development.• Investigate and troubleshoot equipment problems and resolve technical or system related issues.• Lead the planning, set up, data collection, and data analysis with all technical development trials and new product development. • Use Six Sigma, LEAN, and other statistical tools to monitor and improve the process.

• Use engineering principles to perform analysis on equipment operation in order to evaluate current process performance and propose future improvements (Gas burning boilers, Steam delivery systems, Condensate return systems, Gas burner ovens and dryers, Water/Waste Water/Latex delivery systems)• Oversee the mechanical and electrical operations of the machinery and facilities while providing engineering and managerial assistance to the Plant Engineer and Department Managers.• Responsible for managing and modifying the preventive and predictive maintenance programs of various equipment in order to improve equipment/machinery reliability.• Maintaining the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Program, Spill Prevention Control Countermeasures and Title V Program for the plant in order to comply with Environmental Protection Agency regulations.
