Extensive experience in telecommunications law, new technologies and data protection matters, from a Spanish and international standpoint.I have advised several telecommunications operators on compliance and data protection matters, and have lead the legal side of the launch of several mobile virtual network operators (MVNOs). I have also advised clients in a range of sectors on data protection, in both implementation, review and audit processes and in penalty proceedings. I have broad expertise in contracts pertaining to e-commerce, software, digital content and new technologies, at both domestic and international level.I advise regularly in relation with complex data protection issues, among others, international transfers, behavioural publicity, cookies, whistleblowing schemes, cloud computing, online payment platforms and implementation of policies and internal processes. I have been involved in numerous multijurisdictional projects, providing legal advice to multinational groups in my area of expertise, coordinating teams in different jurisdictions, including projects where telecoms, e-commerce and privacy regulations are interconnected.I regularly advise ISPs, social networks, e-commerce platforms and important clientes in several sectors like financial (traditional financial institutions or e-money corporations), insurance, telecommunications, automotive, retail, real estate, among others.Regarding litigation, I have taken the lead in important trials related to intellectual property (trade marks), unfair competition and corporate deals linked to some of those subject matters.In 2018 I was invited by the Justice Commission of the Spanish Parliament as an expert consultant during the process of drafting of the Spanish Data Protection Law under GDPR.
