My research interests are related to Earthquake Engineering. During my professional career I have been involved in Deterministic Seismic Hazard Analysis (DSHA), selection of accelerograms (seismic ground motions) for the design of structures, analysis of base-isolated structures, seismic protective systems for nonstructural elements, and experimental tests of wire rope isolators and the development of new mechanical procedures (related to its manufacture process) that improve their performance.
