Managed the manufacturing tissue facility which included two paper machines and their pulp plants.Recruited engineers and operators for the plant, and coordinated their training.Led the operation of the paper machines that manufacture all the products of the company including toilet paper, hand towels and napkins.Standardized procedures, good practices and allocated human resources under the guidelines of the operational excellence management system.Responsible for the key safety performance indicators of the paper mill that were reported to the parent company, SCA.Responsible for the key performance indicators of the paper mill including Machine Efficiency, Stop Time, Quality and Waste that were reported to the parent company, SCA.Started up the new head box section and ancillary equipment in the fourdrinier machine of the paper mill.Controlled the fixed and variable costs of the plant, the utility usage and the raw material consumption of fibers and chemicals.Scheduled the production at the paper machines and rewinders based on the capacity of the plant and the sequence of the paper references.Scheduled the change over of the paper machine fabrics, and tested new types of fabric.Purchased the machine fabrics and controlled their inventory.Tested new products, chemicals and raw materials in the machines.Evaluated the capacity of the plant, the process variables and established quality control using minitab software.
