Surveyor

Daily supervision, planning, and coordination of field survey crews. Engaged in making plane and/or geodetic surveys for boundary, construction, topographic, as-built, right-of-way, and control survey projects. Participates in pre-survey planning meetings with Survey manager to assign and monitor field work. Train survey crew members in surveying and mapping methods, use of equipment and field safety procedures.Plan survey work, evaluate priorities and coordinate work efforts. Gather field survey data through use of conventional and Global Positioning System (GPS) methodsSets up, adjusts, and operate surveying equipment including electronic total stations, data collectors, levels, scanners and GPS equipmentPrepares field notes and field sketches and performs field surveying for acreage tracts, roadways, and flood control projects to include setting surveying construction stakes, locating and locating property corner monuments, and locating or establishing vertical and horizontal control pointsAbility to read and interpret engineering plans and other documents such safety rules, operating, maintenance, instructions, and procedures.Consults with survey office personnel to provide knowledge during computations and development of deliverables to ensure that the final survey represents a comprehensive and accurate description of the field surveySupports the Survey Group to achieve its vision and mission, while successfully practicing its core values related to employees, ethics, operational excellence, safety, and integrity.

Responsible for Supervision of field crew and work flow. Provide data from surveys that involved topographic ,hydrographic, as-built, construction layout, monument recovery, traverses, and general design data capture surveys.
