About Alejandro C De Baca

What's the point of a profile that just says what you do and not who you are? Professionalism is evolving, business is more personal and interactive than ever before.I grew up in the 80s and was a total nerd (still am). I loved music and computers. At some point, I had to choose between pursuing a life as a jazz musician or a software engineer. Still not sure if I chose correctly.I went to undergrad (1st gen) in my hometown of Albuquerque, NM, then went off to grad school at Michigan. Got a job on Wall St and did the NYC finance thing for a decade. Found out I had cancer. Got that taken care of, but became overcome with fear.I decided to take a different path. I quit my job, started a business, and relocated. I advise startups that do amazing things. I build software that solves all kinds of interesting problems. I run a business that is funded by revenues. I conduct research in theoretical computer science and combinatorics in my spare time.I still play jazz when I get a chance.So that's me. Who are you?
