I became Quality Systems certified auditor in order to lead my teams and support the Plant in the creation, development and documentation of all the requirements of the norm, SOP, scorecards, KPI´s. etc. I performed internal audits to other functions, and participated with the external auditors as a process owner. Finally resulting in none conformance findings and obtained certification for technical processes and for the overall site. I also served as the supplier contact with Global Cummins factories, to align product specifications, technical requirements, source approval validations and PPAPs for parts that SLP machined, assembled and delivered to them. Frequent Customer interactions resulted in successful technical negotiations and approvals. It was assigned as a Customer representative and tasked with implementation and leadership of the first Product Quality Council to develop projects for reduction of RPH / PPM, customer and warranty complains and provide reliable and free of defect products to the customers. Governance rules were stablished first, data analysis resulted in project selection and prioritization. Multiple cross functional teams formed and trained to perform and improve product quality and reliability. Significant reduction in warranty claims, quality costs and RHP indicator.

Oversaw a multi-national working team to follow NPSU project methodology, executed activities and perform management review with Top Leadership Teams for advancement and approvals. Strong leadership with Manufacturing Engineering teams for selection of equipment, tooling, gages, service installations, capital investment and commissioning of assets. The conclusion of this project resulted in the largest remanufacturing operation in the site.Named Business Operation leader for specific remanufacturing lines to supervise day to day operations needs, resource assignment, production schedule, maintenance, cost of quality, cost of product, shipments and on time delivery. Daily operations meetings with supporting functional team members to review performance scorecards, KPI results and trends, define preventive and corrective actions, weekly and monthly meetings with Leadership teams, all resulted in productivity improvements of 15-20%.

Vehicle Repower - Customer Engineer

Assigned to lead a green field project for construction, installation and start-up of a technical pilot center and wind tunnel capable to repower customer vehicles with cummins engines, perform vehicle performance testing and cooling package and fuel consumption validation. Installation and Start-up was completed on time and capital budget approved. Repowered vehicles were then evaluated in comparative field testing vs competitors. Comparative and competitive data collected and analysis real time and documented in Cummins Technical Reports (CTR).
