I have carried out general, principal and special inspections of more than 40 structures made of concrete, steel, timber and masonry: bridges, subways, car parks and retaining walls. I have also performed crack, joints and tendon monitoring inspections in car parks.I was responsible for planning the works and carrying out the inspections. I have developed inspection reports, and have checked reports drafted by other engineers. I also prepared topographical and testing specifications for the special inspection of structures.I worked in a capacity akin to the client’s agent, and was responsible for developing their MSCPs Management Strategy for 2019/2020. For any repair works programmed in a car park, I would receive a quote from the contractor, which I then revised according to the contract, the specification for the repairs and the client’s budget. If I disagreed with the quote, I would deal directly with the contractor.

I have made the designs and structural calculations of many different structures, up to 66m high: access scaffolds, bridged and cantilevered platforms, temporary roofs, gantries, lifting frames, loading bays, hoist runoffs, facade retention scaffolds, backpropping... The job involved preparing detailed designs of the scaffolds, writing of structural calculation reports, and checking the designs and calculations of other engineers. Indenor is an engineering firm specialized in the shipbuilding and industrial fields.I was responsible for the structural design and analysis and for the delivery of the project. I improved the detailed design for all the pipe supports (almost 300) of a desalinization plant in Qatar which will produce 300,000 m3 of drinking water per day. All supports were made of steel, anchored into concrete, or bolted to the building structure.Working constructively with my team of 4 draftsmen, I reduced the cost of 70% of the pipe supports, delivering all the designs according to very strict deadlines.The job also involved planning and prioritizing tasks, communicating clearly with the client and design team through sketching, speaking and in writing, and revising all drawings before sending them to the client.

Grupo Resa manufactures and assemblies scaffolds for large structures.I worked at the Engineering department making designs, structural calculations (with Tricalc) and offers of scaffolds and falseworks for several clients from Spain and abroad.I developed an automatic system to obtain the design and inventory of scaffolding components for our clients’ circular structures, eliminating a task previously performed by hand.In April I moved to Euroresa Schele, Romanian subsidiary of Grupo Resa, where I worked as Site Engineer and Logistics Manager.

Euroresa Schele is the Romanian subsidiary of Grupo Resa.I was the engineer on site for the installation of scaffolding on the rig Ocean Endeavor. Next to the Site Manager, I was responsible for verifying the quality of the erected scaffolding, dealing with the customer, and ensuring the supply of components needed for the work, which was completed on time and without incidents.After that, as Logistics Manager in Bucharest, I designed and planned the necessary structures for the different works, making a very strict control of shipments and receipts of materials that allowed us to close projects without logistical losses.

I worked for the AUSINCO (Auscultation, Instrumentation and Control of Structures) Research Group.I calculated the loads sustained for two months by a wind turbine from the strains recorded by strain gauges. To carry on the task I managed a 5,000,000 values database.

NIPSA is an engineering and construction firm.In this post I made hydraulic calculations for the Feasibility study for the use of the morning glory spillway of Mancotal dam (Nicaragua), for which I developed a tool to perform the many iterations needed by just entering only the four fundamental data.I calculated the budgets for the Feasibility studies of 15 hydroelectric power plants in the Republic of Serbia, with Presto.
