I'm the owner of Hyperion Gray, an open source development and security company that does work with DARPA, AFRL IARPA, and various other research entities. I am a well-known figure in the hacking community who goes by both P4x and _hyp3ri0n. You can read about some of my work here: https://www.wired.com/story/p4x-north-korea-internet-hacker-identity-reveal/ among many other things.I'm a physics nerd turned computer security engineer and software developer with a passion for building things, breaking things, and building things that break things, but not breaking things that build things - that's just mean. I've spoken at several security conferences (most notably DEF CON on three occasions, ShmooCon on two occasions, DerbyCon, CarolinaCon, AppSec USA and more) on original research in the field of distributed computing as it applies to network and application attacks as well as rootkit writing, exploit development, and malware techniques. I'm an open source junky and am proud to say that all of my software is open source and free.I'm the founder of the PunkSPIDER Project - the distributed, global web application spider and vulnerability scanner. The project started from a bunch of old computers in a spare room and has since expanded into a large, well-respected open source project that has been covered in Wired, Forbes, Vice, Gizmodo, and other major tech publications. My current research is primarily in exploit development and 0-day hunting in the Windows and Linux kernel, and I teach a course on the subject matter. This work has also been part of many talks and news articles. See the "featured" section for more!
