People are at the heart of why Alejandro enjoys architecture- focusing on helping clients realize their dreams and coordinating project teams to deliver results toward that goal. With over 14 years of industry experience in higher education architecture, he has worked in all phases of project development, from programming through construction administration. He has successfully led teams of professionals spanning multiple disciplines, offices, and time zones; his design influence and critical eye, combined with his technical expertise, allow him to execute cohesive visions for all projects he’s involved with. AJ has a “drive for results” mindset, which helps the team get across the finish line with high-quality documents, frequently communicating the deliverable deadlines and content expectations. He keeps long meetings fun with his charismatic personality and focuses on building consensus; moving the entire project team forward together from stakeholders to consultants.

As an architect, I oversaw the design of projects from programming through construction administration. This included client interactions, building design, detailing, code research, rendering, multi-discipline coordination, and all other aspects of an architectural project. I also oversaw the BIM management and research into digital design methodologies.

Architectural Summer Intern for KlingStubbins. Worked on design development and Construction Documents for Visitors Building on a government project. Also designed custom furniture for the facility. Project was completely done in Revit.

Architectural Summer Intern for AECOM. Worked on a Revit Pilot project for a federal government client.

Architectural Summer Intern for AECOM. Worked on several projects, including field assessment of a 1Mil sq ft military office building.

Architectural Summer Intern for HSMM. Worked on several projects for the Smithsonian Institution, including the Report for the Master Plan of the National Museum of Natural History.
