Director, Technical Delivery ManagerUbs Jan 2019 - Jul 2021My primary role was to lead the Automation and Monitoring team for the Risk&Credit IT division that consisted of 150+ applications and 230+ engineers. I was leading a team of 7 developers to improve IT processes, service level agreements and reduce operational cost. During 3 years my team delivered more than double the required FTE savings and developed expertise in the following tools: AppDynamics, Splunk, Moogsoft, ELK Stack and Prometheus.My secondary role was to define Cross Divisional Projects to reduce manual work and then successfully execute them. An example of projects that I delivered are:• A single portal to monitor all the batches for the investment bank and middle office, monitoring 2.6K jobs daily. This has reduced the overall communications between teams, improved transparency with users and reduced the delivery time for daily P&L• The design and implementation of a web application for monitoring 300+ applications and manage Incident communications with our users. This solution helped to reduce communication between teams and with our users, allowing our engineers to focus on resolving incidents that lead to shorter incidents• Design and implementation of a portal to manage all weekend deployments, create custom application checks and use information from monitoring tools to evaluate the health of our applications. We onboarded 600 applications to this tool and automated 2000+ checks• Deployment of monitoring tools for all our infrastructure and the corresponding integration with alerting tools to reduce incidents and manual checks from our support teamsIn these roles I was responsible for stakeholder management, project updates, escalations, risk management and mentoring new joiners from the Apprentice and Graduate programs. -
Production Support ManagerUbs Sep 2015 - Jan 2019London, England Metropolitan AreaAs Production Support Manager I was responsible for an area of Investment Bank Applications and Services. I was managing 4 teams within the Risk and Analytics space with a total of 40 headcounts. Additionally, I was the regional Lead of other teams within my IT business sector: coordinating incidents, taking care of weekend changes, improvements and mentoring junior team members.Two of my teams managed the Risk and Credit applications. These provide our traders with real time risk and historical metrics that are calculated in our nightly batch. The team operated in different locations working on 24/5 rotas to manage user support and control the batch. Another team was in charge of our DataSynapse GRID, where our systems can run multiple simultaneous calculations to generate Risk and PnL figures. With this team I also worked on several projects to transition our services to Microsoft Azure.On top of these daily tasks I was also leading our Automation and Monitoring initiatives with a small team of 3 developers. -
