About Alejandro Marcilla-Garcia
Welcome to my Linkedin. I have a passion for Architecture that goes back a long way. I have pursued this through a Spanish Licenciatura, which is a 7-year degree and equivalent of a combined Bachelors and Masters. I am now a complete Architect, pursuing the field as far as I possibly can. My experience and knowledge cover various aspects of the profession from project theory, ideation and drawing, through construction and detail, calculation and design of facilities and structures, to report production. (stages 1 to stage 7, mainly focused in the last two years in stages 4-5-6)I have a particular interest in sustainability and I am a Certified Green Assessor (GBCe). I feel that all buildings should now take greater consideration of their impact on the future. I have had some recent experience in creating large 3D models using Revit and am very much interested in the use of 3Dprinting in development of building systems. therefore my passion for modular construction. There have been huge leaps in this kind of technology in recent years and it could be effectively linked with the sustainability element I feel. This is the topic of my doctoral thesis (On-hold).
