Assisted the leading mechanical engineer in initial design concept to include owner's vision while improving energy efficiency, generating HVAC floorplans in Revit, selecting/sizing equipment, conducting cooling/heating load calculations, reviewing submittals, responding RFIs and verifying compliance of design with applicable local standards and codes. Teaching Assistant for the Air Conditioning Systems course.

Conducted sponsored research by the DoD ESTCP at the Tinker AFC Clinic Facility. Within the scope of the project, I led the on-site research duties and later analysis of the airside part of the HVAC system. While enhancing control logic in operation to comply with AIA FGI and ASHRAE 170 and at the same time improving energy performance of the system and capacity of system response for fault detection, I conducted extensive research on calibration procedures for fans in VAV systems, leading to the publication of multiple technical papers with one of them being rewarded with the ASHRAE 2017 Technical Paper Award.

Assisted the mechanical engineering department with the development of a base handbook for the integration of BIM platforms as Revit, Trane, HVAC Solution. In addition, assisted in the conceptual design for Cornerstone University Science Building and drafting of HVAC systems in Revit, cooling load calculations, pressure drop calculations, equipment selection/sizing, and review of RFIs.

Lead mechanical engineer for the project. This project included the renovation of makeup air and exhaust air systems for a 7,000 SF food court and restaurants. The scope of the project was to remove existing exhaust and kitchen exhaust system and install new systems with full compliance with NFPA and ICC standards for kitchens operation.

Banesco, Banesco La Vela Mall Branch, Margarita, VenezuelaMechanical Designer for the complete build-out project of a new bank branch in brand new La Vela Mall. The built-out space of approximately 4,000sf required selection of a single chilled water air handing unit and exhaust fans. The scope included thermal load and ventilation calculation, equipment selection and HVAC system layout.Banco Venezolano de Credito, BVC La Lagunita Branch, Caracas, VenezuelaMechanical Designer for the renovation project of a 5,000sf bank branch. INNOVA Renovation Plan, Central Madeirense C.A., VenezuelaAs part of a company-wide initiative, all supermarkets across the Nation were part of a renovation part. This plan target administration and employee spaces of the supermarket. I acted as a lead mechanical designer for all branches in the central and western Venezuela. Total, more than 40 projects were part of this region.Store Branch #40, Maracay, VenezuelaThis was a major renovation project that targeted food storage and processing areas. The scope of the project included 30,000 SF of selling floor.Store Branch #29 - El Recreo, Barquisimeto, VenezuelaThis was a major new construction project. After a fire years before the project destructed the store, the company decided to clean and improve all the construction and build a new supermarket branch. After the previous situation with the devastating fire, the company wanted to make sure that IBC/IMC and NFPA codes were fully enforced to prevent any new fire events. The exterior envelope was replaced for concrete blocks with steel framing. The overall size of the store is 50,000+ SF of selling floor.
