- Lead the team to high levels of performance and implement effective and efficient project management processes with the objective of accelerating the release of new productos and/or functionality, with continually improving quality. Set team-level and engineering best practices around product development.- Supervise multiple products development efforts. Ensure products quality level according to business needs.- Be a spiritual leader.- Provide day-to-day management and oversight of engineering personnel. Provide guidance and direction, plan quarterly performance objectives, determine adequate staffing, manage personnel issues and performance, etc. - Build an optimal engineering team structure (job titles, salary ranges, performance evaluation system, etc.). - Analyze posible technological partnerships to increase team capacity to deliver.- Support HR on recruiting efforts to build a talented engineering organization with strong presences in the appropriate development areas (Python, Django, Javascript, Design-Patterns, etc), supporting overall product development goals.- Drive decision-making processes to consensus and ensure that steps are taken to actual implementation of product roadmap.- Communicate features/suggestions to and participate in strategic planning and design sessions with Product Management. Work with the Product Management team as a key stakeholder for input into feature design and product planning. Contribute to roadmap; help strategize and prioritize.- Partner effectively with Professional Services to ensure solutions are instrumented correctly for technical operation.- Identify and manage risk on Development and QA areas.- Define and measure key business metrics that we use to operate the business. - Work with the Support team to provide training and advanced troubleshooting (Level 3 support).- Remain closely aware of customer problems and industry trends relating to product engineering.
