Oversaw and executed all marketing and public relations efforts for a nonprofit arts center and theater. As the sole marketing employee for a nonprofit with ~$2M in revenue per year, responsibilities included: planning, budgeting, creating, and executing marketing campaigns, writing and fulfilling grants, designing and printing programs and other physical marketing assets, managing and creating content for all social media channels, creating partnerships with local businesses and organizations, writing and distributing press releases, managing a dynamic website, meeting with sponsors, creating and sending regular email newsletters, and facilitating media appearances.

Worked as a lecturer for the last 6 weeks of the semester for two classes: Film as Cultural Communication (3000 level) and Pop Culture and Society (4000 level). Prepared lectures, responded to student questions in person and online, graded assignments and final projects.

Worked as the managing editor for the Utah Statesman, the student-run newspaper at Utah State University. Handled the week-to-week functions, including creating and sending email newsletters, overseeing and making editorial decisions on our publication in print and online, and training other students in weekly meetings. Experience with InDesign, Photoshop, Lightroom, WordPress, Issuu, and Mailchimp.

Copy editor for all stories that appeared in the Student Life section of The Utah Statesman, online and in print. Included teaching writers how to improve their writing. Continued to write my own articles, including music reviews and profiles on the side.

Writer for the university newspaper's Student Life section. Roles included interviewing community members, university faculty, and students. Also included working with deadlines and taking and editing pictures of events.

Wrote a 1900-word piece on how university students developed friendships and relationships during the COVID-19 pandemic. Hosted interviews and worked with magazine editor to produce a quality article. Article can be found on page 28 of the linked PDF.

Selected for a highly competitive 10-week intensive research fellowship. With a faculty mentor, I conducted research on where people get news about COVID-19 and how it correlates with knowledge on the topic.

Created and managed all social media from the ground up for a community-run charity 5K on Thanksgiving.

Worked as an intern for KSL Newsradio. Part of my responsibilities centered around helping to produce the JayMac News Show by pitching stories, finding audio to use, and interviewing people via the phone. The other part of my job included managing and creating digital content such as social media posts and articles for the KSL Newsradio website.

Worked with a faculty mentor on research regarding the use of social media by those with disabilities and their caretakers. Responsibilities included finding and reading past research articles on the topic and completing a detailed annotated bibliography. Also completed an analysis on survey responses about the online "spiral of silence" phenomenon surrounding the 2016 presidential election.

Created communications and social media sites for the local chapter of National Honor Society. Responsibilities included:-Creating and maintaining a website for the chapter-Creating and maintaining Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram pages for the chapter-Writing posts communicating key information for meetings and other reminders sent to a group of over 100 students
