Armed with a podcast playlist a dozen strong and a Twitter feed loaded with the latest tech news, I keep an ear to the ground for new and emerging technologies that will reshape the industry and the world. I work well in teams and have no problem taking direction. However, working independently and with autonomy has been by far the norm throughout my career.   Responsible for all operational aspects of the Platform28 cloud. This includes ensuring our software is running in a secure and performant manner. How that software is deployed and updated, as well as how our services are monitored. I also ensure that we have documentation for all operational aspects of our cloud, including incident response plans in the event something goes wrong. In addition to those responsibilities, I also manage certain operations related vendor accounts including handling of contractual negotiations. As well, this position also requires that I design and manage the interview process for candidates into the Technical Operations team. Lastly, keeping service expenses related to Operations within budget is also included as part of my responsibilities.
