• Introduced the dynamic versions of some well-known computational geometry problems related to wireless communication.• Published 7 scientific papers, one of which won the Hao Wang award of scientific merit at the COCOON 2018 conference in Qingdao, China. I worked with a master student and two employees from the company on a project to improve the efficiency of a packing algorithm. The goal was to pack cucumber of various classes from the conveyor belt into trays such that: (i) each tray only contains one class of cucumber, and (ii) as few cucumbers as possible reach the end of the conveyor belt and arediscarded. We managed to improve the efficiency (in this case, the percentage of cucumberspicked and placed in a tray) to at least 90% in the general case and from 80% (preexisting algorithm) to above 99% (our algorhtim) in the real data scenario.

I worked with 7 other reaserchers on various computational geometry problems. The visits concluded in the publication of a scientific paper presented at the ISAAC 2018 conference. The results will also be published soon in a scientific journal.
