As the Head of Research at FICOSA ADAS, I am responsible for the company's research and innovation strategy, coordination of the research and innovation activities and long-term technology roadmap. These include leading the Research Team, identification of key ADAS technologies, acquisition of research funding, technology and knowledge transfer, academic partnerships, research and innovation project management, prototype development, and alignment of the research and innovation activities with the company's technology roadmap and market needs.The Research Team under my supervision primarily works on vehicle perception technologies for ADAS and autonomous driving, which include sensor fusion, big data, computer vision and AI, and through collaborative projects - V2X communication, vehicle trajectory planning, HMI, cooperative perception, and in-cabin and driver monitoring. I have led the efforts to acquire around 6 Million Euros in research funding, and developed a new research work methodology that allows the company to innovate with a "start-up" mentality.I am the coordinator of the big national Spanish project InPercept (https://www.inpercept.es/)Under my supervision, the research team has been awarded several national and European projects - Movilidad2030, TwinRoad, SELFY, AWARE2ALL, DIDYMOS-XR, FABULOUS and CulturalRoad.As a result of these research and innovation efforts, the company FICOSA AUTOMOTIVE SLU was selected as a finalist of Exponential Leaders in Catalunya for 2024.
