Forklift driver and yard shunter driver.

Duties: - Intake Quality Control;- Check Intake deliveries and identify product quality issues;- Inspect suspect loads by stripping down pallets, assessing meat quality and re building pallets to reject as necessary;- Complete all rejections paperwork correctly and legibly. Be accountable for all GRN/SRN rejections. This entails: a daily stock count, all scanning to return D.O.S, prompt completion of paperwork and regular communication with the logistics team.

Duties:- To maximise packing capacity and minimise costs whilst working strictly within company and costumer guidelines, at all times meeting customer quality standards and orders;- To maximise throughput, minimise the labour and waste cost;- To keep the production flow and minimise overtime working;- To monitor and enforce standard procedures ensuring the production area is maintained in a clean and presentable state at all times;- To ensure that operations are carried out in a safe manner;- To support/motivate the team, identify poor performing staff and recommend training or consultation;- To work closely with the Production Manager to ensure that agreed production plans are achieved;- To complete all routine paper records;- To check packaging material stocks and availability and highlight any concerns or shortages;- To load/unload lorries;- To couple/uncouple trailers and change waste trailers when needed (shunter);- To manage dispatch department;- To control all yard activities, loading/unloading activities;- To arrange transport for dispatch when needed.
