Seat 4: Employment (April 2019 – September 2019) This seat built on 5 years’ prior experience as an Employment Paralegal. I worked on both contentious and non-contentious employment matters, representing an even mix of employer and employee/senior executive clients which enabled me to build further experience in both bringing and defending Tribunal claims and advising on non-contentious matters on both sides. By gaining insight into discreet issues involving directors’ duties and relationships between shareholders and partners in LLPs/joint ventures I have extended the range of Employment matters I am able to advise on. I have also assisted on large scale share sale transactions, some of which involved employment considerations. Seat 2: Litigation and Dispute Resolution (April 2018 – August 2018) This seat furthered my understanding of Civil Procedure Rules through direct involvement in County Court and High Court proceedings. My experience was broad and included case analysis/strategy, drafting orders, applications, affidavits, witness statements, instructions to Counsel, attending conferences with Counsel, attending court hearings and negotiating settlements. Seat 1: Real Estate (September 2017 – March 2018) This challenging seat necessitated the development of excellent case and client management skills through the effective organisation of 80+ matters handed over to me at commencement. I was able to complete a large proportion of these matters successfully. I have also shone in my ability to progress a matter without a prior precedent. Show less

I completed my GDL and LPC part-time while working full-time as a Paralegal in the Employment team. During this time, I excelled at typical Paralegal tasks such as research, disclosure and bundling. I attended conferences with Counsel and ET/EAT and High Court hearings. I progressed to trainee and NQ-level work, i.e. drafting advice, correspondence and pleadings and running my own small files.
