Momenteel ben ik als freelancer betrokken bij GroenGoed: een netwerk van buurttuinen in Rotterdam met als doel om (buurt)bewoners meer in contact te laten komen met groen, armoede te bestrijden en meer sociale cohesie te creëren. Binnen GroenGoed ben ik verantwoordelijk voor het plannen en organiseren van groenactiviteiten in onze tuinen voor organisaties en bedrijven die maatschappelijk werk komen verrichten.

De Regeneratie Coöperatie is een groep ondernemers, wetenschappers, activisten en kunstenaars die zich inzetten voor een gelijkwaardige wereld waarin alle mensen zichzelf zien en gedragen als onderdeel van de natuur. Binnen de evenementencirkel houd ik mij bezig met het organiseren van de #wijzijnderegeneratie Top evenement op 17-18-19 juni 2022. Dit is een evenement waarin we jongeren en jongvolwassen handelingsperspectief bieden om zelf aan de slag te gaan met regeneratie.Daarbij ondersteun ik de communicatie met het schrijven van artikelen en social media posts.

UPEACE Green Office is a sustainability hub of University for Peace (Costa Rica), formally acknowledged and part of the Operations Department. It pushes for increased levels of sustainability at campus in the sectors of energy, food and catering, and mobility.Main tasks:- Initiated a circular food project and launched a food and sustainability campaign- Helped with the implementation of a biodigester with the collaboration of social enterprise HomeBiogas- Organized the first Green Market at my current university with local entrepreneurs and social enterprises from Costa Rica - Supported students and staff with the resources needed to initiate and accelerate innovative projects for the transition to a more sustainable campus- Co-writer of the UPEACE GO Environmental Impact Report 2019

Supporting the development of the SIRIUS (Sustainable, Innovative, Resilient, and Interconnected Urban food System) project, with a specific focus on urban food systems in the Rotterdam-the Hague Metropolitan area.This project will reveal how new business models, social entrepreneurship, and other innovations in the urban food sector are evolving locally.Tasks:- Establishing the current state of innovation in urban food systems, looking at both grassroots and mainstream actors through a cluster analysis;- Supporting the SIRIUS researchers with the mapping of the urban food system and social innovation within the system;- Contributing to the SIRIUS research by identifying how the social innovations deal with current and future food systems challenges: including interviews with urban food actors, desk-research and where possible site-visits.

Being part of the Innovation and Acceleration Team, my working tasks include:➔ Critical research and final paper on Impact Hub's Food Ecosystem and new opportunities for entrepreneurial innovation for the Dutch food transition.➔ Matching impact entrepreneurs and start-ups with the program offerings (e.g. Business Model Challenge and the Investment Ready Program) to ensure the right fit. ➔ Support the sourcing team in growing the database of impact startupsfor programs and challenges ➔ Helping with the design and execution of scouting assignments.➔ Support the incubation and acceleration team in organizing and coordinating entrepreneurial trainings and events.➔ Meeting entrepreneurs 1-on-1 to understand their needs to, provide them with the right resources, work with them and follow their development trajectory.

Leiden University Green Office (LUGO) is a student-based sustainability hub based in Leiden, The Netherlands. LUGO provides a platform where students and staff members cooperate to support the university's policy of sustainable development via various projectsTasks:As the Communication Coordinator, I am responsible for:- Both online and face-to-face communication with (local) sustainability initiatives from companies, students and (young) professionals that aim to collaborate with LUGO. Thus, regular and smooth communication is key for this position - Managing Social Media platforms- Additionally, I am coordinating the LUGO Social Media Team that currently consists of 6 volunteer students from an international (educational) background. With this team, we actively write critical articles that focus on sustainability topics, including societal issues and social behaviour change.

ALAIA CULTURA SUSTENTABLE (Alaia MX) is a non-profit organization based in Los Cabos, Mexico. Their objective is to promote and demonstrate a sustainable culture using Permaculture as the framework in every project they are involved in, and works with sustainability professionals in the Los Cabos area. Examples of spheres in which the principles of permaculture are applied are: agriculture, architecture, hospitality with the objective of strengthening the local economy.Currently, Alaia provides permaculture solutions to hotels, restaurants and the wider public through community outreach. With hotels, their involvement began in 2013 as sustainability consultants based on certification indicators such as the ones used by "Rainforest" and "EarthCheck". More recently, their involvement with restaurants specializes in waste management, promoting good environmental practices and designing their farms with permaculture principles in order to maximize local organic production. In addition, Alaia operates and manages Mexico's largest farmers market, the San Jose Mercado Organico. From vendor relations, to marketing, promotion, organic certification, artistic talent and farm solutions, Alaia offers a unique approach in every project they engage in. Personal Tasks:- Fieldwork in Permaculture and sustainable agricultural practices- Communication (Spanish, English) with sustainable vendors and organizations (restaurants and hotels).- Independent research paper steered by permaculture principles and organizational culture analysis, including interviewing.
