Dissertation title: Cloud Radio Access Network architecture. Towards 5G mobile networksI worked on Cloud RAN, a novel architecture for mobile networks that leverages benefits of cloud computing for mobile networks application. I participated in the HARP project (High capacity network Architecture with Remote radio heads & Parasitic antenna arrays) http://www.fp7-harp.eu/ collaborating with partners across Europe. My research focused on optimizing Cloud RAN deployments in terms of quantifying multiplexing gains and on transport solutions for fronthaul networks, especially on synchronization solutions for CPRI over Ethernet transport. I work using OPNET network modeling software as well as performed lab measurements.I was a part of the team setting up 5G task force in Foxconn, in Taipei, Taiwan (FACA - Foxconn Advanced Communication Academy).Main achievements:- 13 scientific articles published, one of which has 1600+ citations (09.2022) - One patent application submitted- Best student paper award at EuCNC 2015. I enjoyed teaching students about mobile networks through lectures and coaching. I was giving lectures on the courses "Introduction to mobile communication", "Mobile Backhaul Networks" and coach students exploring mobile communication.There was a strong focus on commercialization of technology.I was enrolled as a PhD student at DTU.

Towards smarter Cloud RAN fronthaul.

I worked in a project "Standards Agnostic Intelligent Radio Systems For The High Capacity Wireless Internet" in collaboration with MTI Radiocomp.I worked on LTE demonstration system, with eNB organised in a distributed manner separating baseband processing unit and Remote Radio Head over CPRI interface. I was responsible for integrating base station and Remote Radio Head.Please find more on the project website http://www.sairs.dk/.I completed a course in 'Entrepreneurship in Photonics, Optics & Nanotech' on a PhD level with a top grade.

I was responsible for conducting technical trainings on mobile standards and for developing interactive training methods. I worked within GSM, GPRS, UMTS and LTE standards.Clients were very satisfied with trainings I conducted.Now Ericpol is part of Ericsson.

I was responsible for co-conducting 3-day UMTS training for junior engineers as well as for preparing training materials. I broadened my knowledge about UMTS. My work was highly appreciated, especially my good presentation skills.
