Joining the Talent Acquisition team @ LinkedIn was my professional dream come true! I literally received "that" inMail ("Would you be open to an opportunity on Talent team with LinkedIn?) few days after I decided to approach the company from my end. Paulo Coelho once said: “When you really want something, the whole Universe conspires in helping you to achieve it”. This is exactly how it felt. I joined when LinkedIn was experiencing unprecedented growth in the EMEA region (joined the Dublin crew of around 80 employees, left when Dublin had headcount of around 1400!) I worked as part of a World class team changing the way the World engages with Talent on a global scale.I initially shifted my focus between several business areas that required most attention: Sales Account Management, Sales Development, Ad Operations.I then became a dedicated Recruiter for my favourite business areas of all: Media Solutions and Customer Success, EMEA - wide, and later Video Editing and Content team in Graz, Austria.

I proudly represented Google as an Employer of Choice while building out their Global Advertising and Product Operations (GAPO) team based in Google EU Headquarters in Dublin. My specialty was bringing exceptional Talent into teams servicing Baltic and Adriatic countries.Operational highlight: always on/above hiring target with 127% in my strongest quarter.Overall highlight: relationships with Hiring Managers and highly engaged hiring teams, daily career conversations with the most enthusiastic, smart and motivated candidates on the global tech scene. My daily focus:• Partnering with Hiring Managers to identify and recruit specialists across multiple language markets• Aligning entire recruiting teams (interview panelists) on the profile of hire and assigned interview focus areas• (A lot of!) pro-active sourcing to attract the highest caliber candidates using the latest online tools (LinkedIn in particular - this is where I fell in love with the tool) • Discovery calls with passive Talent (story - telling) and assessment calls with candidates, guidance towards best interview performance • Delivering on challenging monthly/ quarterly hiring targets• Supporting additional projects aimed at improving hiring processes

After a short period within PayPal Customer Service, then Risk (Fraud) departments, Talent Acquisition Leadership welcomed me to the team on an initial 3-month "Special Project" helping with high volume recruiting - it was hyper-growth in the truest sense! I was soon converted into a permanent employee on the team and my fascination with recruitment began.I initially focused on recruiting into Customer Service/ Risk departments (multilingual teams), then transitioned to support Merchant Operations hiring. For several months I also stepped up to cover hiring for PayPal's parent company at that time - eBay, working from eBay's offices twice a week. My daily activities:• Reporting to the Recruitment Manager and working alongside the Hiring Managers in relation to all aspects of internal and external staffing for both PayPal and eBay. • Managing the implementation of the hiring strategy with Hiring Managers for all recruitment needs, managing the Recruitment cycle from sourcing to offer acceptance• Building and maintaining a quality pipeline of candidates through various means of sourcing (direct sourcing, Employee Referral Programme, networking)• Sourcing, recruiting and hiring professionals across a wide range of multilingual roles: Customer Service Representatives, Technical Support Specialists, Integrations/Sales Activation Specialists, Collections Agents, Telesales Representatives, Account Managers• Maintaining and managing the Recruitment database (Brassring)• Building strong relationships with internal customers as well as external vendors (Recruitment Agencies, DCU Language Services, ALTA Language Services, Kroll Agency)• Participating in Recruitment Fairs both in house and abroad (Germany, France, Holland)*** In 2008 I took a short sabbatical and completed a 2-months solo trip around South-East Asia (Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore) My life's highlight!

My first business role, I learnt a lot about business efficiency, and the secret sauce behind customer satisfaction/ top CSAT scores.The role involved servicing entire UK market (inbound calls) and booking car reservations globally, on average 100 calls daily. Meeting sales targets, providing in dept knowledge of all Hertz products, dealing with customer queries and providing top quality client support.
