Senior Site Reliability Engineer
CurrentAdministration and automation of infrastructure services (mostly based on ISPsystem products and CentOS + MySQL): billing system, datacenter management system (2 independent locations, all about 100 racks and 3500 hardware servers), OpenVZ/KVM virtualization clusters (internal and customer services), monitoring systems (Zabbix+Grafana, TICKstack, custom system written in Python). Refactoring and optimization Python code (tons of legacy written in Python2) - auxilliary software and scripts, add-ons, APIs. Taking part in incident management. Python software deployment automation (local gitlab installation + Kubernetes cluster or independent virtual hosts, containered and classic deployment).Designed and implemented alert dispatching system - collects alerts from custom agents and sends its via various channels: Telegram, JIRA, e-mail, sms etc. Written in Python, based on RabbitMQ.Designed and implemented remote access and role-based access control system (2 instances of OpenVPN + iptables + ipset + web application + some Python/bash scripts to handle it).Monitoring system optimization: new metrics and custom scripts to gather it (via Zabbix agent or Telegraf), alerting (Zabbix and our internal software), visualization (Grafana), fine-tuning of alert levels and problem escalation.Lead of 2 junior Python developers - leading, teaching, task management and so on. And 2 more students were writing their diplomas under my technical leadership past year.Now I'm mostly working at new datacenter inventory (bare metal servers and components, networking hardware, PDUs etc.) system and integrating it with datacenter management and accounting systems.
