My speciality was of course products/systems which include automation interfaces. I also noticed that fire safety was something worth knowing thoroughly. I got far with it, but the more I learned about fire safety - the more I understood - it's something no-one can master 100%.As we didn’t have after sales division as a back-up, me and my colleagues were also the technical support and project management specialists. My former experience with both was pretty handy and I started gaining trust with customers. One of my former partner sales rep said: “I don’t see any value in salesperson who don’t understand the products and what he’s doing.”. I also think this way, but good salesperson is of course more than just a tech support. -

Though I would prefer just "The Finnish Entrepreneurs" as it says in Finnish.I was the Vice President for 2011...2013 and the President for 2014. After 4 years of serving I was happy that I had seen so much of Entrepreneurship in Finland. Jyvässeudun Yrittäjät has around 300 members of different sized companies as they're run by Entrepreneurs. In my year we had the pleasure to organize the bigger yearly event of all three local organizations in the area. It's funny how Entrepreneurs are still the one crowd I feel very tense when having a speech - there's just so huge respect I have for all the passionate Entrepreurs. I just appreciate all the Entrepreneurs year after year giving their best to this society and producing a massive load of wealth for all people.Interesting facts of Entrepreneurship in Finland:Around 94% of Finnish companies employ 1...9 persons and only 0,2% of companies have more than 250 employers here. The Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (1...250 employers = SME) employ 65% of all the working force in Finland. SME companies make 58% of the total Finnish private sectors turnover and 40% of GDP. -
System Specialist + Model (While Studying)Fashion Unit Oy 2006 - 2012Keski-SuomiI did some modelling in fashion shows, had my hair and make-up done and looked smoking hot. I have certification of pro-modelling, but as technological oriented person I didn't pursue my career as a pretty face.Also I was the leader of intranet project (Fuintra system) which actually laid the foundations of the current intranet even years later. It's important to notice that I wasn't the leader because I was the best. Leadership role came natural to me as I planned the project with customer beforehand. As one of the first quite big programming projects it was clear that the agile methods would've been very useful in very beginning of the project. Unfortunately the agile methods were still quite unfamiliar that day in our school as they were very new for everybody in the world. In the final stage of the project the customer was thrilled of the system and it was so good that there was huge adjustments to make. That can sound bizarre, but the reality is that not all the projects are really used in the companies. Our was and so proud of it.Fun fact: In color analysis I'm one of the lucky Finnish people that have the permission to use black color - I am winter. All the four (spring, summer, autumn, winter) have all the colors, but in different tones - but the black is dedicated only for the winter. -

Working in the smaller pubs taught me the most as I was completely alone most of the times. In those situations you just have use your brains and breathe deeply, because you're outnumbered and outgunned very quickly if your pride is your main priority. I really think that consistent leadership was the key as many times I got respect of the customers handling the situations. Had all licences - but didn't carry any equipment (OC-gas-spray, handcuffs, baton...).

It's quite hard work as there's so wide range of customers. Some know everything and some don't even know what exactly they're looking for.I'm glad that I got many lessons of sales so young and I enjoyed the great leadership. Most important lesson was that I never again referred in the price in depressing way. It's there - it's a reality - but it's not a bad thing. You have to be proud of the things you do. So I once made the decision that I didn't sell the 250€ device as I knew that the customer can have the problem solved with 3,5€ component. The component shop was - and still is - very unknown because they sell professional stuff, but I wrote the address and specification for the component to the customer. The appreciation you get for the professional expertise you possess is valuable as you gain the trust with making the best solution.PS: One of the things I learned was actually tearing receipts and handling the payment systems. I sometimes even nowadays use this quite practical skill to assist people working in chaotic environments such as bars and festivals. -

It has been proven that you actually learn the most by teaching other people and of course it was a learning process for me too.
