As a live, on air radio host: I made appearances at public or private events; prepared and delivered news, sports, and/or weather reports, gathering and rewriting material to fit specific time slots; host civic, charitable, or promotional events that are broadcast over radio.

As a "television camera operator" I was responsible for: Assisting in the assembling, preparing and setting up equipment prior to filming; being prepared to innovate and experiment with ideas; working quickly, especially as timing is such an important factor; taking sole responsibility in situations where only one camera operator is involved in the filming; keeping up to date with filming methods and equipment. As “floor director” I was the person in the senior position in charge of the production "floor, the link between the director and all related individuals (i.e. presenters, talent, other staff and the audience), wearing an earpiece and microphone to stay in constant contact with the control room in order to pass on relevant information to and from operating staff. Responsibilities included: Assisting with production planning and consulting on logistics; ensuring all staging, furniture and props are ready before the show starts; ensuring all equipment is in place and technical checks have been done; briefing presenters and talent; relaying information during filming between the control room, floor staff and talent; providing cues, timing and other information to presenters and talent; informing the director of any relevant off-camera action; preparing for upcoming parts of the show; maintaining control of the audience and ensuring they are looked after; overseeing safety issues on the floor.As staff “photographer,” I was responsible for taking pictures at most of the special events. I took & edited hundreds of pictures at each event for the station, and eventually became known as the “Christian Celebrity Photographer” during my work at TCT. The television station and many of the artist also used my pictures in many of their own promotional materials (i.e., books, CD covers, calendars, etc.)

Employed by Schellenger & Associates as throughout highschool and until 2002 - full and part-time - for my parent’s family ownedweekly newspapers (Chester News, Ava Citizen, CoultervilleNews), printing company (Alton Printing Company, movie theater (AvaTheater), film company and an ongoing public relations firm(Schellenger & Associates) that handled business, political, community,state, national and international public relations campaigns. This included medicaloffice management (Avenue Chiropractic) and public relations forthree clinics plus related experience involving community outreach andvolunteer services. I continuously learned and worked in all facets ofthese businesses on a full or part-time basis.
