Hi, I'm Alen Paul, a driven Junior Engineer passionate about the paper and pulp manufacturing industry. With hands-on experience in maintenance, risk management, and preventive maintenance, I thrive on enhancing equipment reliability and optimizing operational efficiency. As part of my work for the Postgraduate Diploma in Mechanical Engineering at Auckland University of Technology, I'm designing a fish conveyor system. I'm choosing the right materials, doing a failure mode effect analysis, writing an eco-audit report, and putting the system into service. I worked on a robotic fire extinguishing vehicle with a rocker bogie suspension system while earning my bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Nirmala College of Engineering in Kerala, India. At the moment, I work as a junior engineer at Kinleith, South Waikato, Oji Fibre Solutions. I am a vital member of a project team here that is concerned with risk management and maintenance to guarantee the best possible operation of vital equipment. I am skilled in risk analysis, equipment reliability assessment, and industry-leading standard update of preventive maintenance documentation. In my previous roles as a machine operator at NanoLayr and Babich Wines Limited, I calibrated machine settings, maintained equipment performance, and set up and modified equipment. To guarantee the best possible manufacturing standards, I also carried out quality control measures. Before that, I worked at Brix & Co. Limited as a machine technician, running many machines at once, disassembling and repairing damaged parts, and checking cans, wine, and fizzy beverages for quality. Assuring production remained within ideal tolerances, I also installed, calibrated, and tested new or repaired components and equipment. My early work experience included fabrication, welding, painting, grinding, gas cutting, and testing when I was a trainee mechanical engineer at Mech Man Engineers in Kerala, India. This basis experience prepared me for my present level of knowledge and commitment to further development. My areas of expertise include technical documentation, quality assurance, maintenance planning, SAP software, Microsoft Excel, and root cause analysis. Having a collaborative attitude, excellent communication, and strong problem-solving abilities, I am excited to use my academic background and real-world experience to support the growth and innovation of a top paper and pulp manufacturing company. Let's connect and explore how we can innovate and achieve excellence together in the paper and pulp industry.
