Senior Enterprise Architect
As a Senior Enterprise Architect I worked with large teams to estimate, sell, and deliver some of Microsoft customers’ largest, most complex enterprise solutions in Italy. This role gave me broad and deep technical knowledge encompassing Microsoft products and other leading technologies throughout the industries, as well as the ability to lead customers and development teams in the design and creation of complex enterprise solutions built on (but not limited to) Microsoft Windows, .Net Framework, SQL Server, Windows Azure, and BizTalk technologies. In this role I have also to support Sales force of MCS to win deals, proposing innovative architectures and creating technical relationship with customers technical and business decision makers. I was also a Program Manager for a MS Corporation funded project called CLAB (Common Layer Application Block). The project was developed in Italy but entirely sponsored by MS Corporation, developed by a mixed team of Italian developers and Corp Developers (in Seattle and in India). During the CLAB project I have managed a complex project distributed in different countries with different time zones, and I have also successfully practiced the SCRUM methodology that was successfully used to deliver all the features requested within the timeframe and budget allocated.
Consulting Practice Manager
In this role I was accountable for delivery, business, and marketing management of my practice (consisting of about 90 MS FTE, with about 22 directs: 10 architects, 10 EMs, 2 Managers). As manager of managers my goal was to hire and grow new talented managers, while as a practice leader I had to build a team of high potential consultants, architects, and engagement managers. In this position I was also accountable for defining the MS Services business strategies altogether with the Technology strategies choosing the right mix of people skills, risks mitigation, revenues, and margins. It was also required that I had to manage complex deals/projects directly acting as Principal Architect both during proposal (estimations, risks assessment, planning, offering, etc.) and during design phase to guarantee maximum customer satisfaction driving the last technology available from Microsoft. Furthermore, in this role I had to drive the operational planning for landing in Italy the offerings produced in HQ.
