As a Lead Enterprise Architect I worked with large teams to sell and deliver some of Microsoft customers’ largest, most complex enterprise solutions in Italy. This role gave me broad and deep technical knowledge encompassing Microsoft products and other leading technologies (also from competition) throughout the industries, as well as the ability to lead customers and development teams in the design and creation of complex enterprise solutions. As Lead Ent. Arch. I defined Technology Strategic plans and how to realize and measure plans success. Also I was accountable to speak at CxO level to share plan programs and make them realized minimizing risks and costs. Furthermore, my role required ability to upsell Microsoft Services and to give a strong contribution to Microsoft Products selling. In this role I drove a v-team of Ent. Architects (10) and was accountable to create and share new solutions and drive reuse to maximize ROI. During this period, I started to work in INAIL for innovation thorough ESP and in 2014 the Smart Working project for INAIL won Exhibition of Excellence in WE and also Exhibition of Excellence at TechReady 19 for Best Innovative usage of Technical Principles.

As a Senior Enterprise Architect I worked with large teams to estimate, sell, and deliver some of Microsoft customers’ largest, most complex enterprise solutions in Italy. This role gave me broad and deep technical knowledge encompassing Microsoft products and other leading technologies throughout the industries, as well as the ability to lead customers and development teams in the design and creation of complex enterprise solutions built on (but not limited to) Microsoft Windows, .Net Framework, SQL Server, Windows Azure, and BizTalk technologies. In this role I have also to support Sales force of MCS to win deals, proposing innovative architectures and creating technical relationship with customers technical and business decision makers. I was also a Program Manager for a MS Corporation funded project called CLAB (Common Layer Application Block). The project was developed in Italy but entirely sponsored by MS Corporation, developed by a mixed team of Italian developers and Corp Developers (in Seattle and in India). During the CLAB project I have managed a complex project distributed in different countries with different time zones, and I have also successfully practiced the SCRUM methodology that was successfully used to deliver all the features requested within the timeframe and budget allocated.

In this role I was accountable for delivery, business, and marketing management of my practice (consisting of about 90 MS FTE, with about 22 directs: 10 architects, 10 EMs, 2 Managers). As manager of managers my goal was to hire and grow new talented managers, while as a practice leader I had to build a team of high potential consultants, architects, and engagement managers. In this position I was also accountable for defining the MS Services business strategies altogether with the Technology strategies choosing the right mix of people skills, risks mitigation, revenues, and margins. It was also required that I had to manage complex deals/projects directly acting as Principal Architect both during proposal (estimations, risks assessment, planning, offering, etc.) and during design phase to guarantee maximum customer satisfaction driving the last technology available from Microsoft. Furthermore, in this role I had to drive the operational planning for landing in Italy the offerings produced in HQ.

As a solution architect I worked with large team to deliver some of Microsoft customers’ largest, most complex enterprise solutions in Italy. This role gave me broad and deep technical knowledge encompassing Microsoft products and other leading technologies throughout the industry, as well as the ability to lead customers and development teams in the design and creation of complex enterprise solutions built on (but not limited to) Microsoft Windows, .Net Framework, and SQL Server technologies. In this role I was accountable to drive the project "quality" in term of: design & documentation of custom business critical applications, technical oversight of customer and partner’s designs and implementation, application architecture reviews & validations, participation as a key decision maker in the architectural and application design process, drive best practice development tools & methodologies, provide direct interface with relevant product groups for the customer’s application development lifecycle, assist various team members with the escalation and technical issue resolution across multiple parties (partners, MS field and Redmond-based teams).

During this period, I covered a combo role IC-M1. As a MCS manager I was mainly focused on people, their teams, career development and readiness. My prime responsibility was to ensure my staff's performance, well-being and readiness at an optimal level. As a senior consultant I worked with cutting edge technologies to deliver industry leading solutions within the Italy’s most prestigious enterprise organizations and software houses. During this period, I gained deep technical knowledge centered on the .NET, Windows and SQL Server platforms.

As a Consultant I did many software development projects as part of a team of Microsoft application developers in often technically complex scenarios. I also interfaced other project team members and assisted customers in the architecture, design and implementation of solutions based on Microsoft’s enterprise products and other supporting technologies. I gathered the ability to operate in complex technical or political environments where limited / no assistance was available.
