Pordenone Datacenter - Team Storage and BackupI work in an international team responsible for managing the enterprise storage and backup infrastructure of the company's main computer center and more of 15 other data centers in remote sites.I deal with many different systems and technologies. • SAN Switches (Datacenter, DR Milan and Remote site)• Storage (different type from enterprise system (IBM DS8000, IBM Flashsystems V7000, V5000, IBM SVC, NETAPP etc) and storage entry level on Remote Site (Lenovo DE4000)• Disaster Recover infrastructure (Storage Replica, Backup Replica)• Backup Software (Enterprise multiplatform as TSM IBM Tivoli Storage Manager to Wintel oriented as VEEAM)• Monitoring system (for SAN and Storage devices) • Multiplatform client backup (Wintel, Linux, AIX etc.) • Databases backup (MS SQL, DB2, Oracle, SAPHANA) For each of these technologies needs knowledge and continuous updating. Part of daily task are related to prevent potential issues checking logs, fixing issues, upgrading systems located in datacenter and remote site It was guarantee support 24x7 during on call time for emergency and activities extra working hours; this is mandatory for fix critical issues and allow activities not otherwise feasible during normal working hours. This year mainly I worked on: • Storage Refresh • Update FW several critical storage systems on remote, datacenter and DR site.• Coordinate activity on remote site as maintenance, troubleshooting, setup new systems • Improve inter-team collaboration • To deepened knowledge of Broadcom SAN switches, IBM-Lenovo storage systems• VEEAM backup system• Monitoring tool (IBM Spectrum Control, IBM Storage Insight, IBM-Network Advisor, Xorux STOR2RRD etc.)• Reporting Backup and Storage to have very efficient system to check backups historical data, storage statistic etc.

I dealt with:- Data center management (facilities: power supply, air conditioning, cabling, etc.)- Manage the ICT infrastructures of the Porcia production plant in an office and industrial environment (production plant):->Contacts with service, HW, SW and infrastructure providers (local data center)-> Design, management and ensure optimal functioning of the office LANs and production plant LANs-> Technical management (analysis, purchase, installation, configuration, management) and administrative (asset) of the HW infrastructure (Servers, Storage, - Network Switch, Router, PCs etc) present in the company;-> Monitor the correct functioning of software and hardware and replace them if necessary-> Draw up the necessary technical documentation.- Skills:-> Design, activation and configuration of infrastructures;-> Knowledge of the main server virtualization technologies, such as VMware-> Knowledge of the most used operating systems, such as Windows-> Knowledge of the most used databases and backup systems;
