Master Thesis Student
During the internship I was able to complete my master's thesis in space electric propulsion. I dealt with the modeling and the FEM simulations of hollow cathodes, devices used mainly in Hall effect thrusters and Ion thrusters to emit electrons. In particular, I carried out thermal and plasma analyses on these devices during their heating phase. Moreover, I designed two different approaches to introduce a heater redundancy in HC60 (SITAEL 60 A-class hollow cathode).
