I worked as a consultant at Leonardo S.p.A, Campi Bisenzio (FI), Italy.

I'm in the R&D team of the company that deals with the design of advanced vacuum technologies capable to test new exotic electric thrusters. In particular, my work focuses on FEM multiphysics simulations (thermo-structural, CFD, DSMC and electromagnetic) of these new technologies. So far, I had the chance to work in several projects led by international companies such as Airbus and agencies such as the European Space Agency (ESA), allowing me to familiarize with the ECSS standards for testing and qualification processes related to electric propulsion system and vacuum technology. During the internship I was able to complete my master's thesis in space electric propulsion. I dealt with the modeling and the FEM simulations of hollow cathodes, devices used mainly in Hall effect thrusters and Ion thrusters to emit electrons. In particular, I carried out thermal and plasma analyses on these devices during their heating phase.
