We could say that the idea of this project is due to a fortuitous circumstance. In an informal and friendly situation, it happened that an old television set fell down and split. In an informal and friendly situation, it happened that an old television set fell down and split. Falling to pieces, each of its interior component became suddenly visible - “No matter, it was too old and it’s time to through it away!”.But, as I was carefully looking at its components – chassis, electronic cards, tubes and plastic – a new concept began to spring up in my mind.It’ld have been taken for granted to throw them trivially away – on the other hand, it could have been a sensible and consistent to recycle them, giving the components a new artistic and creative life.So, the idea is to set an ecological concept that goes further a mere recycling design, starting from the analysis of the historical and social period we’re living in Italy and in the whole world as well, that is the changing over from the analogic television sets to the digital ones. My research - so creative as well as fresh – suggests the use of objects completely made by old cathode tube ray television set components. Then, in order to give handworks an exponential increase in value, the objects are dipped in non toxic and anallergic epoxy resin.Consequently - such as Mana Bernardes “handles each recycled object as if it was gold”, the recycling dirt patina has been taken away, giving dull materials a new clearness and transparency.At the moment, samples in fashion accessories consist in: buckles, zips, charms, glasses, watches, scarf-pins. Inspirated by longboarding dynamism, some sportswear suits have been planned and one has been made up. Show less
