The Standards Unit is responsible for defining and controlling the standards of payment services and open communication interfaces (APIs) for CBI Globe and Open Banking. We support the development, testing, and implementation of new CBI services for clients and the Public Administration.As the Head of Standards, I coordinate the activities and design of API specifications for the CBI Globe Reg-Tech Platform. This ensures compliance with PSD2 and other regulations set by the European Banking Authority (EBA) and the National Competent Authority (Bank of Italy).

Within the Telco & Media Business Unit, I was part of the Technology & Architecture Competence Centre. My main activities and responsibilities involved:• Project management, solution design, support, and consulting within the Security Solutions Engineering business line, on an encryption & key management system (HSM) (on-premise & cloud). My responsibilities included the coordination between the Client, the technical team, and the solution vendor in order to execute daily routine operations (troubleshooting, integration with new applications) and participating in the design of the platform expansion in orer to support new cloud-native scenarios and technologies (e.g. BYOK on PaaS).• Analysis, activities planning and consulting activities aimed at securing business critical analytics systems (containing personal information), including the definition of security governance & IT risk assessment/management procedures, on a technology stack based on “Big Data” (Hadoop, SAS) architectures on a Telco market-leader Client: team-work activities, team leadership; gap analysis, documentation generation and teams coordination aimed at integrating the aforementioned systems with the Client’s centralized security systems.• Team leadership (activities planning and front-end interface towards the Client) of a Security Testing (Vulnerability Assessment, Penetration Testing) group, including analysis of security vulnerabilities as detected by the technical testers.• Analysis and solution engineering of the security measures needed to comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) on a fraud detection system. My responsibilities included the definition and design of the technical and organizational security measures to implement to comply with the “privacy-by-design” principles.• Technical design of cloud architectures (IaaS & PaaS-based) on the main public cloud providers (e.g. AWS, GCP, OCI) (pre-sale activity).
