Study and production of zeolite heterogeneous catalysts for NOX abatement for Diesel vehicles exhaust, applying an innovative SCR (selective catalytic reduction) technology. Test on catalysts produced and doped with metals (Cu, Fe, Co and Ce)simulating real conditions of Diesel emission.Study of the evolution of the catalytic surface and gases emission using IR, GC-MS spectroscopic techniques and chemiluminescence analyzers.

Study and production of heterogeneous catalysts for the steam reforming of Glycerol (a renewable resource) for hydrogen production.The catalysts, based on a commercial mixed oxides (Hydrotalcite), were all doped with cobalt (10% w/w) and respectively with a low load (0.05 %) of noble metal (Rh, Ru and Ir) through chemical vapor deposition technique.Catalysts were checked in their metal content (with an ICP-MS) and tested simulating in real conditions evaluating selectivity (with a GC-MS), stability and yield.
