After more than 10 years as a lawyer in international law firms working on M&A and capital markets transactions, my interest for innovation and new ventures brought me to the European Investment Bank, complementing my background with finance. As Senior Investment Officer, I am now part of the team of the European Investment Bank dealing with venture debt and quasi-equity products (http://www.eib.org/products/lending/venture-debt/index.htm), supporting innovative companies throughout Europe and the rest of the World.Professional skillsMy current activities concern the management of a portfolio of investee companies, with resolution of events, financial analysis, restructurings and exits, in relation to venture debt loans or convertibles, with quasi-equity remuneration components. I am also an observer on behalf of the European Investment Bank in the Board of Directors of such investee companies. My past professional background ranges from corporate and commercial law, extraordinary transactions (M&A and divestitures), corporate governance (also of listed companies) and, in general, commercial agreements. I have also an extensive experience in capital markets transactions (equity and debt).Over the years I have developed strong analytical and strategic skills, supporting top-management decisions, for private equity funds, banks and public and private companies in the industrial (energy, aerospace, fashion and manufacturing), insurance, real estate and telecommunications sectors. I have also experience in the no profit sector, assisting associations and foundations in start-up and social innovation projects, also in the field of impact investing.
