A sound of wood and strings that of Opez, melancholic, sultry, thirsty; they travel in the void to be filled, made of hot wind, dust and silence. The acoustic duo from Romagna, formed by Massi Amadori and Francesco Tappi, evokes in their music the spirit of a distant land, made of boundless sound spaces and small empty rooms, forgotten; the concert of Opez is not only an acoustic experience but involves all the senses in a hypnotic journey, physical and mental, and forces the listener to let his body "cross" the music."Dead Dance" is the title of their first record, released in June 2015 by the German record label Agogo Records, produced in collaboration with Andrea Benini, leader of Mop Mop. The sound of "Dead Dance" strikes the critics and makes people talk about it in the reviews of many Italian and international sites: it is defined as "a deeply spiritual sound, almost out of the real world", "unique and melancholic". Vogue Germany includes "Adriatica", a track from the album, among its monthly playlists.Starting from summer 2015 and throughout the winter, in collaboration with drummer Diego Sapignoli (Sacri Cuori), Opez give life to the Italian tour, playing in many cities of the peninsula and treading important stages such as Santarcangelo dei Teatri and Trasimeno Blues Festival (on the bill together with Tinariwen).During the Italian tour Opez received the Keep On magazine award as "best live band of the year", confirming the tireless work done on concerts, always different and multiform.One year after the release of Dead Dance, the artistic season of Opez is rewarded with another great recognition: the fashion house Miu Miu, in fact, chooses the entire song Carlos Primero as the soundtrack of the advertising trailer of the Scenique 2016 Eyewear world campaign.
